This Privacy Policy explains how Olympian collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use the Olympian mobile app, website, and related services. It includes our practices for account data, training data, website analytics, and health data from Health Connect or Apple Health when you choose to enable those integrations.

Who We Are

Olympian is a strength-training log, workout planner, and coaching app. In this policy, "Olympian," "we," "us," and "our" refer to the operator of the Olympian service. You can contact us at can@olympiantraining.app.

Information We Collect

Account And Profile Information

If you create an account or profile, we may collect information such as your email address, display name, username, avatar, authentication provider identifiers, subscription status, and profile settings. If you choose to add profile metrics such as body weight, height, or biological sex, those values may also be stored in your Olympian profile.

Training And App Content

Olympian stores the training information you enter or generate in the app, including workouts, exercises, sets, reps, weight, duration, distance, RIR or RPE values, rest timers, plans, mesocycles, progress charts, personal records, strength ranks, recovery check-ins, notes, templates, and program imports. If you use social, profile, or sharing features, the information you choose to make visible may be shown to other users according to your privacy settings.

Health Data From Health Connect And Apple Health

Health integrations are optional. Olympian accesses health data only after you grant permission through Health Connect on Android or Apple Health on iOS. You can decline, revoke, or change these permissions in your device settings. Olympian uses this data only to provide the health integration and coaching features you enable.

Depending on your device, permissions, and enabled features, Olympian may access, collect, or write the following health data:

• Workout or exercise sessions: Olympian writes completed strength-training workouts to Health Connect or Apple Health so your training appears in your central health history. On Android, Olympian does not read exercise sessions from Health Connect.
• Total calories burned: On Android, Olympian writes an estimated calorie value with exported Health Connect workouts. Olympian does not read calorie data from Health Connect.
• Body weight: If you enable the integration, Olympian reads recent body-weight records so your measurements and body-weight-based training context can stay current without duplicate entry.
• Height: Olympian may read height to prefill profile or onboarding fields. You can review or edit the value before saving it in Olympian.
• Sleep duration: The Sleep Data feature is off by default. If you explicitly enable it, Olympian reads sleep duration to adjust recovery guidance. Olympian does not write sleep data and does not use sleep stages beyond the minimum duration data needed for recovery calculations.
• Biological sex on iOS: If you grant Apple Health permission, Olympian may read this profile field to help prefill your Olympian profile. This access is not requested from Health Connect on Android.

When health data is imported into Olympian or saved as part of your profile, measurement history, recovery context, or workout history, it may be stored locally on your device and, where account features require it, processed by our backend services to provide sync, backup, profile, social, or coaching functionality. Revoking Health Connect or Apple Health permission stops future access from those services, but it does not automatically delete health-derived values already saved in Olympian. You can delete or edit saved values in the app where available, or contact us for deletion help.

We do not sell health data. We do not use Health Connect or Apple Health data for advertising. We do not share Health Connect or Apple Health data with advertisers or data brokers. We share health-derived data only as needed to operate Olympian, with service providers acting on our behalf, when you choose to share or make information visible to other users, when required by law, or with your consent.

Device, Usage, And Diagnostics Data

We may collect technical and usage information such as device type, operating system, app version, browser type, IP address, pages visited, feature interactions, crash reports, diagnostics, timestamps, and identifiers needed to keep the service secure, reliable, and working across devices.

Website Cookies And Analytics

The Olympian website may use cookies and similar technologies for essential site behavior, preferences, security, attribution, and analytics. If Google Analytics is enabled on the website, Google may process page-view and interaction data to help us understand site performance and app-store conversion paths.

How We Use Information

We use information to:

• Provide, maintain, sync, and improve Olympian.
• Create and manage your account, profile, and subscriptions.
• Save workouts, plans, measurements, progress history, ranks, and coaching context.
• Export workouts to Health Connect or Apple Health when you enable that feature.
• Import permitted health metrics to reduce duplicate entry and improve workout or recovery guidance.
• Provide social, profile, sharing, and leaderboard features according to your settings.
• Send service messages, support replies, and security notices.
• Debug crashes, prevent abuse, enforce our terms, and protect the service.
• Analyze aggregated or de-identified usage trends so we can improve the product.

How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information in the following limited situations:

• Service providers: We use vendors for hosting, authentication, analytics, crash reporting, payments, email, storage, database, infrastructure, and customer support. They may process data only to provide services to Olympian.
• Other users: Information may be visible to other users only when you use social or sharing features, publish content, join public areas, or choose profile visibility settings that allow it.
• Health platforms: When you enable Health Connect or Apple Health export, Olympian writes permitted workout information to that platform. Those platforms are governed by their own controls and policies.
• Legal and safety reasons: We may disclose information if required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of users, Olympian, or the public.
• Business transfers: If Olympian is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, user information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this policy or a policy with materially similar protections.
• With your consent: We may share information for other purposes when you ask us to or give permission.

Your Choices And Controls

• You can edit many account, profile, measurement, workout, and privacy settings in the app.
• You can change Health Connect or Apple Health permissions in your device settings.
• You can disable optional Sleep Data and other health integrations in the app where those controls are available.
• You can control what profile, body weight, measurement, workout history, and rank information is visible through available privacy settings.
• You can contact us to request access, correction, deletion, or export of personal information associated with your account.

Retention And Deletion

We keep personal information for as long as needed to provide Olympian, maintain your account, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and enforce our agreements. Training logs, profile values, measurements, and health-derived values remain in Olympian until you delete them, delete your account, or ask us to delete them, unless a longer retention period is required for legal, safety, security, or backup reasons.

If you revoke Health Connect or Apple Health access, Olympian stops requesting new data from that platform, but previously saved values may remain in Olympian until deleted. If you delete data in Health Connect or Apple Health, that action may not automatically delete copies already saved in Olympian.

Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information, including access controls, platform permission prompts, and secure transport such as HTTPS for network transmission. No internet or electronic storage system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

International Processing

Olympian may process and store information in countries other than where you live. Data protection laws in those countries may differ from the laws in your location. When we transfer information, we use safeguards appropriate for the type of data and the service involved.

Children's Privacy

Olympian is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to Olympian, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

Third-Party Services And Links

Olympian may link to or integrate with third-party services, including app stores, authentication providers, payment processors, analytics providers, Health Connect, Apple Health, and social platforms. Their services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

Changes To This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Changes are effective when posted unless a different effective date is stated.
